Celticsstuff Live’s very own Justin Poulin had the opportunity to cover the Celtics win against the Seattle Supersonics for the first time as a member of the media. Eric Weiss had been covering the games previously and is currently focussing on March Madness coverage for DraftExpress. Justin plans to cover the majority of home games in his absence in association with CelticsBlog. Special thanks to Jonathan Lee from NESN for showing me around tonight!
These are the complete audio transcripts from the pregame and postgame press conference plus additional interviews with Allan Ray and Leon Powe obtained by Justin.
Paul Pierce guaranteed a win and then helped guide the Celtics to their first win in 19 games defeating the injury plagued Milwaukee Bucks 117-97. Gerald Green played a big part in erasing an early double digit deficit by going 6-7 from the field for 16 points in the first half. Jughead and The Duke host this jubilant podcap celebrating the end of the Celtics losing streak and discuss what it all means for the remaining 31 games of the season.
The Celtics fall short yet again 96-90 to the Toronto Raptors and set their sites on Memphis’ top spot in the Oden sweeps. Eric Weiss joins JB and Jughead to breaK down the game and talk about the future of the franchise in an overdue post game podcap.

Eric got these interviews back on the 12th of this month after the loss to the Raptors, although the clips provided here are not game specific. For those of you wondering where the Game Podcaps have gone I assure you they will return shortly. Also, don’t forget that due to the Pats game there is no show this week on Sunday night - instead we will be broadcasting a special pregame show this Monday starting at 6pm with special guest, Mike Gorman.
Tough loss for the Celtics tonight, but it looks like Gomes may be returning to form and the consistent effort these young players put forth every night even when it looks like they are facing a blow out loss is encouraging for the future.

The Celtics played their first game without Tony Allen tonight and dropped a difficult game to the Raptors 95-86. While Green and Jefferson struggled this evening, Rajon Rondo nearly singlehandedly led the team back from a significant deficit to within 7 points only to fall short in the end. Rondo finished with 23 points, 4 steals, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and only 1 turnover; completely dominating T.J. Ford in the second half and giving life to a team that had absolutely no business being competitive with any other NBA team given the devastating injuries their players have suffered. Leon Powe also got some love from the CSL Boys, submitting yet another “Rebound Per Minute Played” game. Justin felt a lot of the “excitement” surrounding this team had left the building with Tony Allen’s knee injury, but The Duke and JB failed to give in to the Negativity In This Town and pointed toward Rondo and Powe as reasons to keep tuning in.

Also, Paul Pierce will reportedly continue to wear the boot on his foot for two more weeks and is likely out until the All-Star Break. Wally is expected to be out for at least another week.
It’s hard to imagine the organization rushing anyone back from injury at this point in the season so I’d start setting your DVR to record some top college games and start forming your own opinions. And if you need to brush up on the top prospects in this June’s draft class, head over to DraftExpress.
